About the Role


As an Account Executive responsible for our South Australian clients, you will play a key role in generating new revenue streams and attracting new customers through Canon’s core business and solutions streams. You will have a focus on growing market share within the enterprise and government sectors across South Australia.


Not only will you plan and execute Business plans with potential key Customers to deliver against the overall Business strategy but you will also own the account management of an existing portfolio of top tier Customers. You will be involved in the development of the strategic sales plan to grow, meet and exceed sales and revenue targets and achieve profitable growth commitments across several product and service offerings.


Scope of the role includes:


  • Proactively generating new business through a variety of go to market strategies and core propositions as well as the development of new business leads through the sales cycle
  • Generation and ongoing management of an accurate sales opportunity pipeline through proactive knowledge and understanding of the sales cycle
  • Negotiating major deals and submitting tenders within policy guidelines.
  • Identifying and steering opportunities for business improvement
  • Reporting performance to budget with variance analysis and revised projections
  • Contributing to, and devising the development/implementation of sales strategies
  • Attending and presenting at relevant seminars and other customer focussed events
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively engaging with marketing for lead generation and follow up
  • Management of the sales process from initial order through to implementation and beyond


About you


As someone with a proven track record in maximising business opportunities with top tier Enterprise and or SA Government Accounts, including identifying and securing New Business you will enjoy leveraging your knowledge and experience of selling managed services and solutions. You are used to working autonomously but you know how to collaborate with stakeholders across the country to achieve outcomes for our business.

Your commercial acumen is second to non and you have a head for numbers and analytics and you have an eye for details when it comes to responding to detailed, complex tenders. Your previous experience of working with South Australian government agencies will be highly regarded.
