About the Role 

 

As a member of the Services and Support team and reporting to the Technical team Lead, you would be responsible for providing pre and post sales customer service as well as support to Canon’s business imaging customers while maintaining their printer fleet. 

 

The role also involves: 
 

  • Compliance and ongoing adaptation to varied and dynamic Drug and Alcohol policies and procedures of customers 

  • Compliance and ongoing adaptation to varied and dynamic HSE, induction and compliance policies and procedures of customers   

  • Serving as the backup engineer (only need based/leave cover) for supporting Canon’s regional and/or remote customers  

 

Scope of Role 

 

  • Reactive and proactive servicing, upgrading software/firmware, network connectivity, and installation of hardware and software, in line with established call approach. 

  • Carry out other tasks as requested by Supervisor, Support Specialist or Task Management. 

  • Effectively meet and exceed customer's needs, building productive relationships with Canon customers. 

  • Actively assist other Canon staff to enable efficiencies to achieve individual and branch targets. 

  • Keep up to date with current technologies and training, including technical and workplace compliance. 

  • Contribute to and work towards own personal development. Including seeking opportunities to share knowledge with colleagues for team development. 

  • Support Canon regional and/or remote customers on an ad hoc basis to meet business obligations. 

 

 
About You 

 

Ideally you would possess experience as a printer or photocopier technician with exposure to repairing both hardware and software issues in the field. Being a customer facing role, it requires an exceptional representative to be the ‘go to’ person from Canon for the customer. Possessing industry experience in a similar role would be highly preferred. Holding a valid Driver Licence is a key requirement for the role.
