Barista / Service Centre Representative

  • This is a casual role with hours between 06:00 am to 6:00 pm

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Barista and all-rounder to join our Canon team that supports our premier client, One New Zealand. We are looking for someone who is passionate about coffee, food, and delivering best in class customer experience. This casual role will also work across the client siute in various funtions to help out and add variety to your day!

 

Main Duties include:

 

  • Making exceptional coffee of course!
  • Assistance with Corporate events, administration, and other adhoc duties as required on a day-to-day basis
  • Providing best in class customer service
  • Taking customer orders and upselling products
  • Basic food preparation and serving
  • Customer payment transactions
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the café and Atrium area
  • Adhering to both Canon Business Services and ONE NZ Health & Safety Standards

 

 

 Key skills and experience:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years Barista/café assistant experience in a fast-paced café/bar environment
  • Happy to pitch in where needed outside of Barista duties
  • Excellent Customer Service skills and passionate about creating excellent coffee
  • Food service and preparation skills
  • National Certificate in Food and Beverage Service or equivalent is preferred 
  • Understanding of food hygiene practice requirements
  • You can work well in a diverse, high energy team environment as well as autonomously
  • A positive attitude and a flexible and adaptable nature
