About the Role

The Business Development Manager role is a direct sales, B2B and consultative selling position is a great opportunity for someone looking to leverage their in depth experience selling business services in business process outsourcing, IT services and digital platforms as well as in the managed services area. 

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

  • Winning new logo business in New Zealand selling both BPO and IT solutions
  • Winning new business within an existing base of New Zealand based customers
  • Achieving the growth targets for new business across New Zealand
  • Building a robust and active sales pipeline of new clients and new opportunities.
  • Facilitating the right resources to ensure the right outcomes for all parties.

About You

As someone with Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills you are you have the gravitas and professionalism to work with ‘C’ Level clients. Your extensive experience will include several years of exposure to the Business Process Outsourcing space giving you a strong understanding of its’ sales cycle, but equally important is your desire to invest the time in building long term relationships with colleagues and clients alike and an appetite for continuous personal and professional growth.

Candidates will have the following skills and experience for the position:

  • Proven sales professional with experience preferably in a technology related industry.
  • Strong networking skills and proven ability to open doors to new opportunities
  • Excellent understanding of the sales process, objectives, outcomes and techniques
  • Solid understanding of the RFP process including experience creating a compelling solution for a customer
  • Influencing communicator with middle to senior level management within a range of industries
  • Sound financial and deal construction knowledge
  • Ability to think outside the square, problem solver and solutions focused.
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
  • Resilient and able to handle rejections
  • Well developed and engaging presentation skills
