About the Role

 

The role involves providing outstanding pre-sales and post-sales service as well as customer experience, aligned with sales and marketing to all Canon clients through the effective servicing and maintenance of all Canon machines. It requires working in high end production environments, including digital production print, inkjet and paper finishing equipment (where appropriate).

 It is a field services role reporting to the Service Manager – Northern Region.

 

 

Main Duties

 

  • Install, service and maintain Canon supplied machines efficiently (incl. Digital Production Print and Paper Finishing Systems as applicable).
  • Reactive and proactive servicing, upgrading software/firmware, network connectivity, and installation of hardware and software, in line with established call approach.
  • Carry out other tasks as requested by Direct Leader, Support Specialist or Task Management
  • Effectively meet and exceed customer’s needs, establishing productive working relationships with the customers
  • Meet all contracted Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), informing customers if there are any delays (where appropriate).
  • Keep the customer informed of the progress of the service call, allowing the customer to prioritise their workload.
  • Install, service and maintain Canon supplied machines efficiently (incl. Production Print as applicable).
  • Contribute to the creation of Solution Design Documents as required.
  • Conduct site inspections for relevant products.
  • Repair machines in a time frame that meets customer expectations.

 

 

About You

 

We are looking for someone who can best demonstrate their experience & attributes as below. Holding a valid Driver Licence is a key requirement of the role.
 

  • Proven experience in a technical/printing role.
  • Experience in Digital Production Print and Paper Finishing Systems preferred
  • Proven technical ability either through a trade or IT Industry
  • Experience in establishing strong long-term relationships with customers.
  • Strong communication capability both verbal and written.
  • Time management and ability to execute on tasks effectively.
