Sous Chef

• CASUAL position based at our ONE NZ Client site in Smales Farm
• Monday – Friday casual hours between 5:30 am -1:30 pm

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our team, assisting our onsite catering service at our client’s dynamic corporate offices in Takapuna. 

The role will be responsible for assisting in our commercial kitchen, driving Health and Safety standards and designing, costing, and preparing food offerings for our cafes and event catering. This represents a great chance to apply your skills within a corporate environment in a ‘Monday to Friday’ Corporate hours operation.

You will be passionate about food and delivering great customer experiences. 

Main Duties

• Assist with Menu planning, food service and production at our clients Corporate Head Office
• Preparation of Café and Event menu’s
• Understand and complete reporting requirement for food hygiene compliance within the commercial kitchen
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the commercial kitchen
• Maintain accurate stock control
• Assisting with menu innovation and compilation
• Ensure your site is compliant with Canon and our clients Health & Safety Standards

Key Requirements

• At least 5 years of Hospitality Industry experience, specifically in restaurant and catering
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Chef
• Strong customer-focused approach, emphasizing exceptional service
• Proactive and adaptable qualities, with a can-do attitude
• Strong team player, always happy to help where required
