About the Role 

 

We are seeking a motivated individual to join us at the Christchurch Technology Centre (CTC) as a Digital Services – Logistics team member. In this role, you will oversee the collection and delivery of physical customer deliverables, including, but not limited to, documents, mail, and parcels. Additionally, you will assist the team at CTC with document preparation and processing following the completion of daily courier services. 

 

You will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all relevant policies and procedures, ensuring the successful completion of tasks, and consistently representing our business in a professional and efficient manner. 

 

Key Responsibilities include: 

 

  • Courier Services: Ensure the timely and accurate collection and delivery of customer documents, mail, packages, and parcels. Handle all items with care to prevent damage. 

  • Delivery Issue: Promptly report any issues with deliveries, such as missed deliveries, undeliverable items, or missing parcels. 

  • Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and traffic laws while driving. Ensure all deliveries are made securely and in compliance with company policies. 

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner. 

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the company vehicle in optimal condition, keeping track of vehicle registration, WOF expiry, and service due dates. Report any mechanical issues, damages, or accidents immediately.  

  • Document Processing: Assist the Production Services team with document preparation and processing when required. 

 

 

About you

Key requirements include:   

 

  • Full, clean driver’s license. 

  • Strong time-management skills. 

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. 

  • Previous experience in courier or delivery roles is advantageous. 

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a logical approach to problem-solving. 

  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. 

  • High attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively. 

  • Capability to lift and handle heavy parcels safely. 

  • Comfortable walking or driving for extended periods. 

  • Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. 

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision. 

  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
