About the role 

 

We are seeking an outstanding individual to join our B2B sales team. This is a permanent opportunity, and you will be a key member of our Christchurch division where you will benefit from the mentorship of an experienced and highly successful team. As a driven and highly motivated sales professional, you will play a pivotal role in achieving revenue and profit targets through uncovering new business opportunities and developing existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities 

  

  • Achievement of agreed targets for revenue and profit generation 
  • Prospecting as appropriate to maintain a qualified sales pipeline to meet revenue targets and develop future sales opportunities 
  • Maintain / Develop relationships with existing and potential customers 
  • Develop an understanding of the industry, continually upskilling yourself to be an effective and successful businessperson 
  • Prepare sales proposals that deliver value by meeting clients’ needs and business objectives 
  • Co-ordinate and conduct quality sales demonstrations to clients as required 
  • Contract negotiation through to completion in line with approved framework 
  • Accurately maintain records and sales activity using Canon’s CRM, (Customer Relationship Management) package. 
  • Provide an accurate monthly sales forecast 
  • Prepare accurate sales paperwork 
  • Attending team / company meetings as required.

As someone with deep connections to the Christchurch region, you have a great knowledge of the customer base in the area, and you are a dynamic and results-oriented individual with a passion for B2B sales in the technology industry.

  • Highly motivated and achievement orientated   
  • The ability to work well in a team environment  
  • Minimum of two to three years in a business-to-business sales role preferably in a technology related industry 
  • Excellent understanding of the sales process 
  • A well developed and engaging presentation and communication skills 
  • Excellent relationship and networking skills  
  • A tenacious and determined approach to business development 
  • Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products 
  • Salesforce knowledge or prior CRM experience will be highly regarded
