About the Role

As a result of continued growth, we have a new opportunity for an experienced and commercially astute Account Manager within our field sales division. Based in Melbourne, your focus will be on exploring and acting on new business opportunities and you will look after an existing portfolio of retail customers in Victoria, South Australia & Tasmania. In this varied and rewarding role you will build your own quarterly plans and execute against them in order to maximise revenue from our existing and new clients.

Main Duties

  • Supporting sales objectives for national accounts by driving sell through of Canon’s products.
  • Delivering outstanding point of sale displays, providing high quality training for key resellers and delivering high quality consumer experiences via key resellers.
  • Supporting repeat orders of established range models and new models
  • Delivering effective presentations with meaningful and logical stories concerning Canon and Canon’s products.
  • Communicating new products and promotional activities to national accounts in a timely manner and following up to ensure the information is disseminated.
  • Developing Consumer Experiences via key resellers and submitting planned information into the national field activity calendar on a monthly basis, 2 – 3 months in advance.
  • Ensuring key business priorities are delivered to all key resellers in a timely manner
  • Maintaining regular call cycle based on delivering high priorities to key resellers.
  • Building and maintaining effective Customer relationships based on solid Business principles and continuous delivery against expectations.

 

About You

You will be a confident communicator with the ability to influence and present. Your ability to establish excellent business relationships will be key to success. You have strong account management skills and a positive and energetic attitude and you know how to look for opportunities to increase revenue. Whilst experience in the consumer electronics and camera sector is advantageous, more important is your experience in managing a portfolio of customers across geographies, a commercial mindset and a proven track record in driving revenue targets. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, and you will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Proven account management experience
  • Well-developed and engaging presentation skills
  • Strong networking skills and proven ability to open doors to new opportunities
  • Excellent understanding of the account management process, objectives, outcomes and techniques
  • Influencing communicator
  • Ability to think outside the square, problem solver and solutions focused
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
