About the role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and results-driven Pre-Sales Software Consultant to join our team. In this role, you’ll support our Canon Business Agents and Business Partners in generating profitable sales revenue from software solutions and professional services. You will leverage your technical expertise to provide training, guidance, and support, enabling our Partner and Agent communities are equipped to understand and effectively communicate the business benefits of the company's solutions portfolio to existing and new customers.

 

As a key player in the sales process, you will collaborate with Account Managers, Business Development Managers, Partner sales teams and Canon Business Agents to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate software solutions within new and existing client portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customized solution proposals to potential customers.
  • Attend and present at seminars and other customer facing events.
  • Work closely with the sales teams to ensure a clear understanding of customer requirements and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
  • Assist in responding to technical RFPs and RFIs
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for Partners and Agents, enabling them to understand the company’s software solutions and articulate the business benefits of our solutions
  • Organize regular workshops, webinars, and one-on-one coaching sessions to keep partners up to date with the latest solutions and features.
  • Work closely with the product and technical teams to design tailored solutions that address specific customer challenges.
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance and best practices to ensure Partners and Agents are well-prepared for customer engagements.
  • Provide feedback to product management regarding customer needs, competitive trends, and solution enhancements.
  • Assist in developing customized solution architectures and integration plans based on customer requirements.
  • Recommend and actively participate in marketing activities that will improve opportunity conversion rates.

 

 

 

About you

 

We are looking for a committed team player who can influence and guide sales agents and partners toward achieving revenue goals. The ideal candidate for this role will have approximately 10 years of experience in a similar role with in-depth knowledge of solution-selling methodologies and the sales process.

 

You’ll have excellent communication skills, a personable approach, and a passion for driving results. Along with this, you are comfortable presenting solutions to C-level executives and larger audiences. Other key attributes include:

 

  • Successful direct and indirect sales records in business solutions.
  • Strong technical knowledge and business acumen to address clients’ objectives.
  • Experience in identifying business requirements through consultation and translating into compelling business cases.
  • Confident in presenting solutions and business case to C level clients.
  • Knowledge of office procedures, systems, and business.
  • Ability to convert business solutions into handover scopes of work for implementation teams. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of print management software and document management, digitisation, workflow and eForm solutions.
  • Experience with Business Process Optimisation and Project Management methodologies is a bonus.

 

Note: This role requires some travel as part of the job.
