About the Role

The SUNSTUDIOS Retail department and Canon Experience Centre provide a truly unique sales experience to their broad range of customers in the creative industry in Australia. These services encompass quoting and sales, equipment loans and demos, consultancy, and gear troubleshooting, all which is housed within a beautiful showroom. Key customer segments include broadcast television networks, film production agencies, online streaming services, industry leading stills photographers, government departments and institutions plus many more.

The role requires managing the existing clients, leading sales, consultation & after sales service for the SUNSTUDIOS Melbourne Retail & Canon Experience Store team. It is an extremely exciting opportunity for someone looking for a promising career with a leading brand as Canon’s SUNSTUDIOS.

This is a permanent role based in our South Melbourne office & reports to the Retail Manager - Business Development.

Main Duties

  • New business development in cinema and video sales
  • Account management of existing key video and cinema clients
  • Technical advice and solutions for cinema and video clients
  • Maintaining a regular client call and visitation schedule
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the key goals of SUNSTUDIOS
  • SUNSTUDIOS Melbourne Retail and Canon Experience Centre revenue and gross profit targets
  • Contribute to 50/50 Stills and Video Revenue Target
  • Timely forecasting of sales and pipeline opportunities
  • Offering consultancy services to corporate and government clients
  • Stock management
  • Contributing to sales planning sessions

About You

To be successful in this role, you would have good knowledge of the motion industry & its equipment as well as strong networking.  

Key Skills & Experience include –

  • Knowledge of motion imaging markets, customers and applications
  • Professional motion imaging and workflows
  • Knowledge of professional imaging markets, customers and applications
  • Equipment rental experience
  • Professional photography and workflows
