About the Role
As a Technical Engineer - Cloud, you'll help organisations modernise their infrastructure through cloud migrations, upgrades and transformation projects. Sitting within Canon Business Services' Modern Infrastructure team, you'll work closely with customers and senior engineers to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions across private, public and hybrid environments. This role can be located in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane and reports directly to the Head of Technology Solutions.
This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer looking to deepen their Azure and cloud infrastructure expertise while gaining exposure to enterprise customers, complex projects and a supportive team that genuinely invests in development and mentoring.
Scope of the role includes:

- Deliver cloud infrastructure projects across Azure and hybrid environments
- Assist with the design, build and implementation of cloud and datacentre solutions
- Support cloud and datacentre migrations, upgrades and infrastructure modernisation initiatives
- Work with customers to workshop requirements and recommend solutions
- Create technical documentation and complete project handovers to support teams
- Collaborate with project managers, vendors and technical specialists throughout project delivery
- Validate project outcomes against agreed scope, design and quality standards
- Contribute to process improvement, automation and technical best practice initiatives

You're someone who takes ownership, stays organised and enjoys working across multiple projects at the same time. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where you're supported by experienced colleagues while continuing to develop your own technical and consulting capabilities.
Key skills and experience include:

- Experience delivering Azure cloud and infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud and Microsoft infrastructure technologies
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and VMware environments
- Understanding of Azure networking, landing zones, security and infrastructure design principles
- Experience with cloud and datacentre migrations, infrastructure modernisation or transformation projects
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform or native Azure automation tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Previous experience working within a Managed Services Provider
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles
