About the Role

The purpose of this role is to deliver against the overall Professional Imaging business strategy and successfully achieve various targets through discovering and closing sales opportunities. This highly interactive role will be cross-functional by leading various aspects of the broadcast and production market through active engagement, while also playing a leadership role within the industry.

This is a field sales role responsible for covering NSW and ACT). It has flexible work from home options & reports to the National Sales Manager – Professional Imaging Solutions.

Main Duties

Planning and Engagement

  • Develop and execute plans for the broadcast and production market within your designated vertical, to enhance product visibility and increase market share of our products.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of broadcast and production related products, and a deep understanding of various production applications and integration processes.
  • Develop and execute tradeshows and conduct in-person product demonstrations as required.
  • Fully utilising Trade Marketing, Marketing and Category Management resources to improve planning and execution of business strategy to achieve key targets.

Key Customer Management

  • Ensure that plans are mutually agreed upon and committed to by both Canon and our key customers.
  • Secure customer commitments for the future sales pipeline, aligning with new product launches and activities to strengthen relationships.

Financial Deliverance

  • Successfully deliver prescribed Sales Budget
  • Deliver ROI in line with expectations
  • Manage expenses within corporate guidelines

Business Visibility

  • Be accountable in providing succinct and timely input into the sales forecasting process, provide Competitor intelligence, supporting the budgeting process and business opportunity and risks.

Relationship Development

  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships based on solid business principles and continuous delivery against expectations.

About You

You would ideally possess a strong understanding of our core imaging products and how these integrate with industry products to provide a solution. It is highly desirable that you have previous experience in business development sales and account management, and also tertiary qualification in a related subject.

  • Ability to understand both consumer and customer needs and develop plans for the company to consistently meet and exceed these expectations
  • A comprehensive knowledge of Canon Indirect business and how it operates
  • Strong financial acumen
