About the Role 

As a commercial analyst for Canon, using a ‘whole of life’ market focus and by interacting throughout the business you will plan, propose and deliver active commercial analytics to Canon Business Information Services (BIS) to assist with achieving sustainable growth in line with the overall business strategy. 

Scope of the role 

• Prepare, analyse and provide month-end commentary to executive management 

• Prepare quarterly / yearly operating budgets, ensuring all deadlines are met 

• Analyse transactions and prepare correction entries to ensure accurate reporting 

• Assist in providing detailed cost centre reports to external customers relating to their monthly charges 

• Assist sales team where required in providing commercials on new deals 

• Actively participate in key CBS growth initiatives and projects 

About You 

Ideally, you will have worked in a similar position with exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management. You will hold / are pursuing your CA or CPA, alternatively have at least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a commercial environment. Canon is an agile, flexible, hands-on environment where everyone is involved in the day to day operations of the business. Key Skills & Experience include –  

• Degree qualified in a business discipline, preferably Finance 

• Proficient in Excel & Power BI 

• Knowledge of ERP financial modules, preferably TMI & Microsoft Dynamics AX 

• Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards and financial and corporate reporting requirements
