About the Role
As a Commercial Analyst for Canon Business Services (CBS), using a ‘whole of life’ market focus and by interacting throughout the business you will plan, propose and deliver active commercial analytics to CBS to assist with achieving sustainable growth in line with the overall business strategy. This is a 12-month max-term hybrid role with work from home options, reporting to the Commercial Manager. We're open to candidates based in Sydney or Canberra.
Scope of the role includes:

- Prepare, analyse and provide month-end commentary to executive management
- Prepare and consolidate weekly revenue forecasts using Power BI
- Prepare quarterly / yearly operating budgets, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Preparation of month-end and budget financial reporting presentation
- Analyse transactions and prepare correction entries to ensure accurate reporting
- Responsible for the calculation and reporting of commissions
- Analyse and reconcile P&L accounts and identify monthly variances
- Provide financial support to management to assist in the development of organisation strategy
- Support the forecasting and budget process, working with various stakeholders to consolidate and prepare management reporting
- Provide analysis to support pricing strategies and decision making
About You
You will ideally be working in a similar position with exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management. You possess a degree in Finance/Accounting, alternatively have at least 3-5 years experience in a commercial environment.
Key skills and experience include:

- Qualified/Part qualified CA or CPA or degree qualified in a business discipline, preferably Finance
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint & TM1 with Power BI experience desirable
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proven experience supporting financial cycles including budgeting, forecasting and month end reporting
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Quick to grasp complex systems and processes
