Experience in privacy law is strongly preferred, however training can be provided for the right candidate.

More specifically, this will involve:

  • acting as privacy officer for our Australian products and services businesses

  • competition and consumer law
  • dispute management and resolution
  • corporate governance and compliance, and
  • contracts and IP advice.

About You

The ideal candidate will be commercially astute and practical, with good judgment and interpersonal skills. You will  be admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales (or equivalent qualifications from overseas and taking steps to be admitted in New South Wales), and possess a minimum of five years post qualification experience in General commercial law gained in an in-house team or law firm.  A commercial generalist who is confident working autonomously, with strong experience particularly in consumer law, privacy and IP will be viewed favourably.  Specific experience in the technology industry will be highly regarded.
