About the role

This is a great opportunity for a mid-weight designer with strong interests and expert capabilities in designing visually engaging experiences to join our Creative Services and Customer Experience team. In this varied hands-on role you will provide design and user interface leadership on our owned properties, across channel – brand website, email marketing, banners, instore POS, brochures and social. You will also provide support on programs and campaigns, working alongside members of the digital team. You will liaise with product and marketing managers from across the various departments in the Canon Oceania business and there will be scope to be involved in creative briefs.


Scope of the role includes:

  • Managing and delivering high-level, creative visual communication and designs across a range of print, web, display, social and digital media to maximise Canon’s profile and enhance brand identity
  • Consulting and collaborating with project teams and other key stakeholders to establish, manage and deliver graphic design, printing and creative solutions that are aligned to business requirements and brand guidelines.
  • Providing regular updates and on project progress and goals to support planning and prioritisation.
  • Interpreting a brief and designing campaign materials to successfully drive acquisition or retention.
  • Working with diverse, teams to develop on brand and accessible design for integrated marketing campaigns, digital activities, corporate publications and marketing materials,
  • Working with Product Designers and the Customer Experience team to understand customer goals, relationships, behaviour and feedback


About you

As someone who thrives on working independently you are used to self-direction and achieving outcomes within defined timeframes. You have an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication and you possess a solid understanding of branding & identity, creative concepts and interaction design coupled with current knowledge of design trends and practices.

Your extensive knowledge and experience using Adobe suite of visual design products will be highly valued as will your ability to produce design work, ranging from digital design to printed materials.
