About the role:

 

The Security Operations Specialist is a crucial role in the ongoing evolution of Harbour IT’s Security Practice. The role will possess a deep understanding of Microsoft 365, specifically from an Enterprise Security and Mobility perspective and be confident in further developing Harbour IT’s existing Endpoint Management Product suite to harness the full capabilities of Microsoft 365. In doing so, this role will need to work with key stakeholders in the business from areas such as Security, Desktop & Infrastructure Management to ensure all key aspects of the product have been considered.

This role requires a good range of technical capabilities in line with technologies we manage for our customers as well as the ability to be a key contact and escalation point for our customers.

 

Product Development & Operations Management- Lead the development and ongoing management of Endpoint Security Products, with activities including:

Review and update of Operational Processes, including roles and responsibilities.

Detailed design of Endpoint support services.

Support in the definition of service reporting requirements.

Support in the update of existing product collateral to align with updated features and benefits.

Proposal reviews and updates.

Act as an internal and external customer contact point and advisor in relation to the delivery of Endpoint Security Services to Harbour IT’s designated customers. 

Act as a Subject Matter Expert and line of support escalation for Endpoint Security Services

 

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities and drive initiatives to continuously improve our operational practices. 

Provide input and consultation on customer technology road map to ensure continuous improvement of customer IT environments.

Work collaboratively with the Professional Services team and Transition Mgr, to ensure the transitioning and onboarding processes are as effective and efficient as possible for both Managed Services and Professional Services

 

About you:

 

To be considered for this role, you will have:

Microsoft 365 Experience

Implement and manage identity and access

Implement and manage threat protection

Implement and manage information protection

Manage governance and compliance features in Microsoft 365

Demonstrated experience in the provision and leadership of technical teams and complex solutions across server/network infrastructure, cloud and application services

Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers at all organisational levels

Relevant Industry Experience in a relevant Managed Services/Outsourcing environment

 

Highly Regarded Qualifications, Certifications & Training:

 

    • Tertiary Education (Degree in Information technology or Business)
    • A current Security Industry Certification
    • A current M365 Vendor Certification
