About the Role

 

The Financial Systems Specialist leads the design, development, optimisation, and ongoing administration of Canon Oceania’s key finance platforms, including IBM/Cubewise TM1 Planning Analytics, Pulse and Arc Power BI, and BlackLine. The role safeguards system integrity, performance, and scalability while enabling accurate planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. Working closely with Finance & Accounting, and IT stakeholders, this position drives automation, enhances data quality, strengthens governance, and ensures that financial systems evolve in line with business needs

 

Scope of Role

 

TM1 (IBM Planning Analytics, Cubewise Pulse and Arc) -

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise TM1 cubes, dimensions, rules, and TurboIntegrator processes
  • Integrate TM1 with ERP and other data sources, ensuring accurate, reconciled, and consistent data
  • Build and maintain TM1 Web and Excel-based reports to support planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis

PowerBI -

  • Design, build, and enhance dashboards and reports for Finance and Accounting.
  • Develop and optimise data models using DAX and Power Query, integrating data from ERP, TM1, and other sources.
  • Ensure data integrity, report accuracy, and consistent modelling across the Finance function.


BlackLine -

  • Assess current usage and identify opportunities to expand BlackLine capabilities across Finance and Accounting.
  • Lead implementation of new modules and automation initiatives to streamline reconciliations and close processes.
  • Ensure system configuration aligns with business requirements and best‑practice financial controls



About You


The successful candidate will be an experienced financial systems professional with strong technical capability in TM1 and a solid grounding in finance, accounting, or information systems. They will demonstrate the analytical strength, problem‑solving ability, and attention to detail required to support complex reporting environments. A proactive mindset, the ability to translate business needs into effective system solutions, and confidence working with stakeholders across Finance and Technology will be essential. The individual will bring a blend of technical expertise, financial acumen, and continuous‑improvement focus to ensure high‑quality reporting outcomes. Key Skills and Experience include:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in TM1 development and administration is highly essential
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Power BI development is highly preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Finance systems or process improvement roles
  • Experience with integration tools and data modeling
  • Experience with Cubewise Pulse, Arc and Atmosphere software applications
  • Hands-on experience with BlackLine configuration and administration is preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics AX, Dynamics 365) is desirable
