About the Role
At Canon Oceania, the Information Technology (IT) Group is responsible for providing strategic, tactical and operational services in the areas of Information Technology, Business Intelligence, Digital Services and Information Security. The role involves working with the Information Security Manager, business and technical teams to establish the necessary measures to ensure the continued confidentiality, integrity and availability of Canon's information.
This is a Macquarie Park based role in Sydney reporting to the Information Security Manager.
Scope of Role
- Support the program of work defined by the Information Security Manager and Director of Technology and Operations to implement the required security frameworks for Canon Oceania, such as ISO 27001, IT General Controls, Essential Eight, SOC2 and SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) as required
- Develop and maintain appropriate policies, standards and procedures to facilitate a consistent integrated security approach encompassing all aspects of risk including security, fraud, damage and theft
- Support security and compliance review across cloud and on-premises environments, contributing to risk assessments, monitoring activities, and audit readiness
- Participate in incident response and remediation activities, including investigation, documentation, and coordination of corrective actions
- Work with internal and external auditors and ensure that audit concerns are addressed.
- Report on non-adherence to standards and security violations
About You
We are looking for someone who possesses technical experience in an infrastructure support
environment while monitoring risks and issues to ensure adherence, compliance, and retention of industry standard as ISO 27001, SOX (Sarbanes Oxley), Essential Eight, SOC2. Key skills and experience include –
- 4 to 7 years of experience in Cyber Security, with a strong focus on risk management, compliance, and incident response.
- ISO 27001, Essential Eight and SOX (Sarbanes Oxley), SOC2 auditing experience
- Experience with Service Management frameworks (E.g., ITIL) to manage service performance
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Specific experience in an Incident Management role
- Experience using Microsoft Azure’s security and compliance tools (e.g., Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Monitor, Service Now, Power BI) to support risk assessments, control monitoring, audit evidence collection, and reporting.
