About the Role

The primary role of the Senior Infrastructure Support Specialist (Azure) is to provide L3 support & technical advice for the production Azure platforms as the SME. It involves being an escalation point for projects & other IT teams in relation to Azure specific matters. The role reports to the Enterprise Services Manager.

Main Duties

  • Managing customer infrastructures – monitoring, reporting, and maintaining Azure Infrastructures as required
  • Provide 3rd level technical Azure infrastructure support
  • Identify risks as part of on-boarding activities around Azure technical solutions and provide recommendations for improvements and enhancements to customers.
  • Leverage toolsets to create and maintain regular reporting on Azure environments, including incident management, service requests, performance metrics, and capacity planning.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for CANON CBS customer environments
  • Perform proper root cause analysis and fixes to drive down the re-occurrence of similar incidents.
  • Perform maintenance, advance troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of Azure issues as and when required.
  • Mentor and coach other Level 2, Level 3 and IT Operations Team members in developing appropriate Azure skills.
  • Be an escalation point for Projects and other Canon CBS IT teams in relation to Azure specific matters.
  • To provide after hours on-call assistance and/or escalation on a rotating basis

About You

To be successful in this role, you would have experience in designing, building and implementing Microsoft solutions based around Azure. You would also have experience managing Azure environments for large to enterprise customers.

Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of following technologies in Azure;

  • VM Instance Management, Storage Management, Backup & Site Recovery Management
  • Identity and Access Management (Azure AD / ADFS / AAD Connect)
  • Subscription, Security Centre & Cost Management
  • Windows Virtual Desktops (WVD) Service and Image Management.
  • FSLogix Profile Management
  • Azure Virtual Networks, Express Routes, Load Balancers, NSG
  • Key Vault Management
  • Application Gateway and Web Application Firewalls
  • Azure Web Apps Management, Azure SQL PAAS Management
  • Azure Automation / Runbook Management
