About the role

As a key member of the marketing team you will play an active role in leading the development and execution of a clear marketing campaign strategy.  Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & Communications, this varied role is responsible for before the box marketing across the Consumer portfolio.

Scope of the role includes:

  • Leading the development of campaign and product marketing briefs and go-to-market plans across the Consumer portfolio in support of overall business direction to ensure optimum revenue and profitability
  • Leading product launch and positioning campaigns
  • Executing all communications and media actions across all channels
  • Working with the Digital teams on delivery of relevant digital content, including social media, web content, paid search and eCRM initiatives
  • Developing conversion and after the box programs to drive advocacy and repurchase, including the delivery of inspiring learn content to help consumers be active in photography
  • Leading and executing the Canon Professional Services marketing plan
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to create high-impact paid media campaigns for Canon Australia with New Zealand application where it makes sense
  • Building, maintaining and scaling paid campaigns across Google Search & GDN, YouTube and other platforms (ie, Flashtalking, Criteo, Outbrain) that align to Canon’s marketing strategy
  • Creating and optimising retargeting campaigns to increase conversion rates of different key audience groups
  • Participating in and driving excellence in the Integrated Commercial Planning process
  • Managing cross functional project groups to break down silos, creating accountability and delivery on time and on budget

About you

This an excellent opportunity to make the move client side and to build on your hands-on experience in designing and delivering customer centric, product marketing programs. You have experience in marketing campaign management across the full marketing mix and you know how to get the best out of our external Creative, Media and PR agencies. Your creative flair and strong interpersonal skills will be critical to your success and you’ll bring the passion necessary to influence key stakeholders. You possess a high degree of busines acumen and sound analytical skills, and your tertiary marketing qualifications will be highly regarded.
