About the Role

The Network Engineer role is part of the infrastructure support team responsible for the management of all our infrastructure managed customers. These customers rely on Canon Business Services to keep their Infrastructure running and meeting their needs which in turn allows the customer to focus on running their business. The role is based in Sydney & reports to the Team Leader – Infrastructure Support

Main Duties

  • Managing customer infrastructures – monitoring, reporting, and maintaining network and security Infrastructures as required
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical network infrastructure support
  • Manage the network infrastructure for HIT customer environments.
  • Adhere to Incident, Security, Problem and Change Management processes as per HIT/customer standards (ITIL Framework)
  • Perform onsite maintenance and troubleshooting when required
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for HIT customer environments
  • Provide reports to Customers where required. This may include (but not limited to);
  • To provide after hours on-call assistance and/or escalation on a rotating basis

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have 3 – 5 years’ experience in an Infrastructure Support role, preferably including experience in a Managed Services Environment, specializing in Network and security fundamentals. You must have current CCNP (or equivalent) certification and appropriate Tertiary qualifications and/or IT Industry Certifications in a Network specific technology including Cisco, Juniper & Palo Alto. Key Qualifications, Certifications & Training as below:

  • Experience in providing 2nd – 3rd level support services for Network technologies.
  • Experience in providing technical advice as required for the improvement of network configurations
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of following technologies;
    • Routing & Switching (Cisco & Others)
    • Firewalls (Cisco & Others)
    • Network and Windows Security
    • Network Load Balancing Services
    • WAN / LAN
    • Wireless Solutions (Cisco & Others)
    • Azure Networks (fundamentals)
