About the Role

Making the consumer the focus of everything we do and by interacting throughout the business, the Digital Experience team will strategically guide and drive the business to deliver superior consumer experience – across our digital channels. Collaboration, communications, problem solving and working in partnership are key to the success of this function across the business and across Oceania.

This position is a key member of our team, which consists of professionals specialising in UX, digital product management, website content and creative services (design and production). The Product Owner will be responsible for leading the development and enhancement of our websites, ensuring they align with our business goals and meet the needs of our users.

This is a parental leave position which reports to the Manager - Digital Experience.

Main Duties

  • Define and prioritise the product roadmap for our websites by integrating business objectives, user needs, and market trends, while continuously optimising for increased conversion.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including UX/UI designers, developers, marketers, and business leaders, to gather requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritisation sessions, ensuring the team remains focused on delivering high-value features and enhancements.
  • Champion a user-centric approach, leading research, gathering feedback, and analysing data to continuously improve the website user experience.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and key decisions to stakeholders, fostering transparency and alignment across the organisation.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive trends, and use this knowledge to drive innovation and support a competitive edge.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, facilitating collaboration and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and lead content team to ensure website content is rolled out and up to date, maintaining consistency and quality.

About You

We are looking for a skilled Product Owner with a passion for websites and digital experiences to join our team. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical ability, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Key skills & experience include:

  • Proven experience (2 years) as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, with a focus on website development and digital products
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems (CMS)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience leading cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in data-driven decision-making, with experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics and DXA Digital Experience Analytics tools like Content Square or Fullstory) to gather insights and measure performance
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation, with a track record of driving successful outcomes in a collaborative environment
