Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity for a datacentre/private cloud infrastructure expert to join a growing team, providing exposure to a portfolio of great technology and offering the chance to be part of the execution of upcoming infrastructure project initiatives, platform enhancements and growth. The role will be reporting to the Head – Cloud Services.

Main Duties

  • Operate as SME for key datacentre infrastructure services including virtualisation, storage, compute, network, data protection and disaster recovery
  • Design, build and deliver critical infrastructure and datacentre projects (upgrades, enhancements and new projects)
  • Perform infrastructure related capacity planning and release management of infrastructure services
  • Provide proactive management, maintenance and operational support of key infrastructure services such as operational activities (BAU), upgrades and lifecycle management
  • Lead and manage infrastructure related incidents through to resolution with the wider managed services teams

 

Key Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in the Information Technology industry
  • Proven experience in a datacenter infrastructure support and/or project delivery role
  • Strong passion and expertise in datacenter infrastructure services including:
    • Datacentre Converged Infrastructure
    • Virtualization (VMware) & Compute (Cisco UCS)
    • Datacentre Networking (Virtual, Switching & Routing)
    • Data Protection (Disaster Recovery & Backup)
    • Microsoft Server technologies
    • Microsoft Azure technologies and services (Infrastructure, DevOps, IaC)
    • Security Services (Firewalls, Cloud Security, SecOps)
    • Cloud Observability knowledge (Metrics, Events, Logs & Traces)
