About the Role
The HR Team at Canon is responsible for every aspect of the HR portfolio within this fast-paced Sales and Services Business, we're looking for a self-starting Business Partner to fulfil this integral role in the business.
Joining a team of Business Partners, you’ll have autonomous relationships with senior stakeholders providing an opportunity to be autonomous and own relationships and outcomes.
You’ll quickly develop effective working relationships which you’ll leverage to influence and challenge senior leaders and individual contributors alike in a respectful way and support the delivery of end-to-end HR initiatives to realise business area objectives.
The scope of the role includes:
- Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner with senior leaders to influence and execute a people strategy that supports growth
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the business, its strategies, business priorities, issues, and challenges
- Build and maintain effective professional relationships with HR team members and client group stakeholders
- Employee Relations
- Coach and guide people leaders through employee relations matters, ensuring the identification of practical, commercial solutions
- Influence, advise and educate leaders in people and performance related issues and coach them to deliver key messages to their team members
- Work closely with leaders and individual contributors to improve work relationships, build engagement, and increase productivity and retention
- Identify and escalate industry trends, best practice and/or legislative changes to relevant business stakeholders for both medium and long-term planning
- Provide informed and sound HR advice to stakeholders
- HR Advisory
- Support with the execution of HR operational objectives, including, but not limited to policies, processes, compliance, leave management, performance management and remuneration
- Talent and Succession
- Support Talent Management processes for client groups
- Identify gaps in Talent and Succession Plans and partner with client groups to address
About you
This is the ideal opportunity to leverage your full breadth of HR business partnering and outstanding relationship building skills. To be successful in this role, you must be willing to be hands on and agile, be able to manage multiple projects and issues at once, work autonomously and appreciate the day to day operational and functional elements of the role.
Experience gained in sales and marketing organisations would be highly regarded, but more important is your sound judgement and ability to get to the heart of issues in a professional and pragmatic way.
With a strong background in business partnering (6 or more years in a similar role or with similar responsibility), experience with a client group across ANZ is not essential but also highly regarded. You have a proven track record as a well-rounded HR Business Partner with managing ER matters end-to-end, and you thrive on acting as a trusted advisor to your business stakeholders. Some travel across ANZ region will be required from time to time.
