About the Role
The Senior Manager – Channel Marketing is a parental leave cover, responsible for executing the Canon B2B channel marketing strategy in alignment with the Channel Marketing team and business stakeholders. This role will develop, execute and oversee product launches, offer campaigns, demand generation programs, sales tools and marketing content. They will review market and program analysis of targeted verticals, market segments, customers and channel partners. It involves executing the in-depth value proposition for each of our key channels and providing communication tools to aid the delivery of our overall B2B channel strategy.
This Macquarie Park based role reports to the General Manager – Commercial and oversees a team of four Channel Marketing Managers and one Channel Marketing Executive.
Scope of Role
- Execute marketing strategies aimed at driving business growth, enhancing sales and customer engagement, impacting market share, customer acquisition and channel revenue.
- Lead value proposition development, messaging and positioning strategy for campaign and content execution in line with Canon brand purpose, product and customer audience attributes or requirements to drive awareness, opportunities pipeline and conversions.
- Working closely with the ATL/ BTL agencies to develop effective campaigns, content and channel plans to develop and lead cross-agency deliverables for key marketing campaigns.
- Drive business planning for brand, comms, offers, campaign activities and events and integrate into the B2B planning process.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team and stakeholder teams across the organisation to shape strategic thinking and deliver business results.
- Oversee the project management and delivery of a range of channel requirements, including vertical, product positioning, always on campaigns and content.
- Play a critical role in initiatives reporting to determine activity ROI, optimisation opportunities, alignment to channel goals, and impact on channel growth.
About You
We are looking for someone with proven experience in the development of brand/channel strategy and communications programs across channels to support business strategy. Someone who possesses demonstrated ability to identify and take advantage of commercial opportunities and threats through channel and market insights. While being a passionate marketing leader, they have the ability to drive a team and align them with the group objectives. Key Skills and Experience include:
- 10+ years’ experience in-house Marketing or Agency role
- Experience in managing marketing budgets $1.5M+
- In depth knowledge of different digital marketing channels - paid, owned, and earned
- Strategic thinking and innate ability to develop persuasive communications based on customer/consumer insights
- Ability to develop strategic briefs for external agencies and critically review concept work based on the brief and insight
- Strong analytics acumen and extensive knowledge and an in-depth understanding of one or more marketing technology platforms (highly desirable)
