About the Role

The role requires a good range of technical capabilities in line with technologies managed for customers alongside ability to troubleshoot issues and lead proper root cause analysis.

The role is based in Sydney & reports to the Team Leader – Infrastructure Support

Main Duties

  • Managing customer infrastructures – monitoring, reporting and maintaining network and security Infrastructure as required
  • Provide 3rd level technical network infrastructure support
  • Manage the network infrastructure for CBS customer environments.
  • Adhere to Incident, Security, Problem and Change Management processes as per HIT/customer standards (ITIL Framework)
  • Perform onsite maintenance and troubleshooting when required
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for CBS customer environments
  • Provide recommendations to CBS customers and sales staff for improvements in infrastructure configuration and deliverables
  • Mentor and coach other Level 2, Level 3 and IT Operations Team members in developing appropriate Network skills
  • Be an escalation point for Projects and other CBS teams in relation to Network and security specific matters
  • Provide after hours on-call assistance and/or escalation on a rotating basis

About You

To be successful in this role, you would possess key skills & experience as below –

  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in an Infrastructure Support role, preferably including experience in a Managed Services Environment, specializing in Network and security fundamentals
  • CCNP (or equivalent) certification
  • Appropriate Tertiary qualifications and/or IT Industry Certifications in a Network specific technology
  • Experience in a Managed Services or similar environment
    ITIL v4 Foundation certificate (Must be obtained before the end of probationary period)
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of following technologies in either of the three (Cisco, Juniper & Palo Alto)
  • Routing & Switching, Firewalls
  • Network and Windows Security, Network Load Balancing
  • Microsoft Windows including Active Directory
  • WAN / SDWAN, Wireless Solutions (Cisco WLAN / Meraki, Aruba Airwave / Central)
