About the Role

 

The role sits within our Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD) team which works with all areas of our business. Through our projects in learning, leadership development, compliance training, employee engagement and performance assessment, we support an amazing learning and working culture at Canon. This role presents an opportunity to gain experience within an HR function and work on different facets of the HR function through supporting the broader HR Team with a wide variety of administration tasks. Working closely with a team of HR professionals, you will play a key role in supporting their day to day activities. You will support with activities such as reporting and compliance management, organising training sessions, booking catering and general admin support for the HR team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to leverage their excellent administration skills and learn all about the HR function. This is a Macquarie Park based role with hybrid working options and it reports to the Senior Manager – Learning & Organisational Development

 

Main Duties include:

  • Provide administration support to the HR Team
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on people data and metrics
  • Assist in publishing group emails and communications on training, OD and HR matters
  • Assist the facilitator in virtual workshops to open and close the workshop, manage breakout rooms and troubleshoot technology issues
  • Assist with learning administration including preparing training rooms, ordering catering and organising materials for workshops
  • Manage the Education Assistance and AIM partner pack programs
  • Processing invoices and working with accounts
  • Ensure virtual and in-person training workshops are set up correctly in the LMS (SAP Success Factors) and record attendance
  • Manage the Learning Inbox to resolve issues and provide first line response to requests
  • Assist with the development of e-learning modules, ensuring external providers and internal subject matter experts have what they need
  • Support all Learning & Organisational Development and HR Projects as required
  • Update and review policies and procedures


About You

 

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication (written, verbal) & organisation skills. Ability to prioritise tasks & deliver as per deadlines will be an important part of the role. Experience working with HR systems would be advantageous but your excellent administration and organisation skills and first-class attention to detail will be key. Skills & Experience include -
 

  • Strong experience in Outlook, Excel and PPT
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Team and customer focused
  • Ability to be flexible and able to cope with change
  • Not afraid to make suggestions and offer new ideas
  • A keen approach to learning and personal professional development
