About the Role

The Modern Infrastructure practice is responsible for ensuring that the Professional Services team delivers projects with a high level of quality, whilst being accountable for Design, Build, Test and Implementation of cloud and infrastructure related project outcomes to clients.

As the Technical Consultant, you would be responsible for providing technical advisory to customers, key stakeholders and teams within the business. It requires delivering outstanding service by providing dedicated, focused and specialist levels of technical service to meet agreed objectives and delivery timelines. Ensuring the effective implementation of projects in a consistent, qualitative way to our customers is crucial, as well as acting as a local centre of excellence, contributing to a continuous improvement approach in technical delivery.

The role has the flexibility of being based from multiple locations. It reports to the Technical Team Leader.

Scope of Role

  • Design and implement Cloud infrastructure solutions across Private, Public and Hybrid Cloud solution offerings
  • Consult and workshop solutions with customers
  • Technical lead for larger projects and manage scope and project variations
  • Ensure delivery milestones and are managed to quality, time and budget adhering to agreed project plans and schedules
  • Provide technical advisory to customers, key stakeholders and teams within the business
  • Create technical documentation and transition projects to BAU support teams
  • Provide technical reviews and support for Presales and PMO teams
  • Adhere to required processes including call logging, change control, information security and compliance practices/standards
  • Validate project deliverables and ensure outcomes are aligned to Scope and Design
  • Maintain a high level of technical competency across the range of CBS solution offerings

About You

You will possess a sound understanding of Cloud Adoption Framework principles and implement them to design, architect and deliver complex infrastructure projects. Your experience of working in Professional Services in an MSP environment is essential  as will your ability to manage multiple projects with competing demand simultaneously. Holding recognised vendor certifications in the areas of Azure (AZ-700, AZ-500, AZ – 140, AZ – 104)  is a key requirement of the role . It is also highly essential to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skills and Experience include -

  • 5+ years focused on implementing Azure Cloud Projects for Infrastructure
  • 5+ years of in-depth experience in Hybrid and on-prem Microsoft environments including Microsoft Active Directory/Group Policy/Windows Server/VMware etc
  • Experience in architecting, designing and configuring Azure environments.
  • Understanding of Azure landing zones, blueprints, express route, load balancing, NSG, Azure networking etc.
  • Strong experience implementing Infrastructure as code using native Azure capabilities or Terraform
  • Migration of VM workloads in Azure
