About the Role

As part of the Workshop Services department, the Workshop Technician role requires ensuring the build, run up and configuration of the Canon MFD range of products in accordance with standard run up procedures. This 100% onsite position reports to the National Installations Manager and is based out of Horsley Park. The role involves shift start time between 6.00AM and 7.30AM depending on your preference.

Main Duties

  • Creation and modification of Device Configuration Management (dcm) files related to Customer Specific requirements/set up.
  • Registration and activation of Optional Software Licenses through Canon’s License Management System.
  • Monitoring and reporting configuration issues related to Installation Support Services (ISS) that are Customer specific.
  • Undertake maintenance, refurbishment of mechanical, electro-mechanical business equipment ready for resale.
  • Spare part recovery from last resort device pool Spare part recovery from last resort device pool.
  • Keep up to date with current technologies and training, including technical and workplace compliance.
  • Compliance with HSE regulation and activities to assure a safe working environment.
  • Carry out other tasks as requested by National Installations Manager or Workshop Coordinator.

 About You

Ideally you possess prior experience in a workshop environment and in particular machine repair and/or parts recovery, along with electrical and mechanical aptitude, or a genuine desire to develop in this area. Key attributes include:

  • Ability to demonstrate technical expertise through proactive team involvement.
  • Someone who actively seeks opportunities to improve systems, processes, and services.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work methodically and meet SLA’s.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and execute machine run ups effectively.
  • Growth mindset.
  • Basic numeracy skills and network knowledge.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, utilising a team lift for products up to 45kgs.
  • Computer literacy.
