About the Role

The Contracts Administrator is a vital member of a team that drafts, negotiates and finalises sales and supply agreements (for customers, subcontractors, business partners and agents) for Canon Australia’s business imaging team. The team ensures sales opportunities are directly reflected in contracts and provides ongoing contracts advice to sales teams to maximise success.

The Contracts Administrator ensures the day-to- day operations of the business are performed effectively and efficiently, providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. The role will be has the following responsibilities:

  • Review, negotiate and amend standard contract changes;
  • Assist with managing contracts registers to assist Sales teams actively manage upcoming expiries (e.g. extend, expire, renegotiate, add to tender pipeline, etc).;
  • Maintain register of precedents of negotiated terms for future tender and contracts use;
  • Assist with the preparation and communication of contract summaries of new Master Agreements outlining Canon's key contractual commitments;
  • Assist Contracts Managers to manage stakeholder inputs and that contracts are closed in line with sales priorities using all available tools;
  • Manage the novation/assignment of customer contracts;
  • Assisting with reporting and analysis;
  • Execute systems and procedures including contract sign-off according to Canon delegation of authority policy;
  • Suggest and implement continual improvement to improve productivity and customer satisfaction;
  • Respond to queries from internal stakeholders and external customers;
  • Escalate customer issues and more complex contract interpretation questions as required.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Law or other relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating contractual terms
  • Familiarity with commercial contracts
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated prioritisation skills to accommodate rapidly changing requirements and
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Good rapport with internal and external customers
