About the Role
The Contracts Administrator (CA) is primarily responsible for drafting, negotiating with the Customers (through Sales), and finalizing of Agreements (such as but not limited to Sales, Business Partners, and Agents) end-to-end of Canon Australia and New Zealand. The CA also ensures the day-to-day operations (all requests) of the business are performed effectively and efficiently, providing excellent customer service to both internal stakeholders and Canon customers.
The role has the following responsibilities:
• Review, negotiate (with the customer through sales) and analyze the requested changes to Canon’s standard terms and conditions.
• Work with the Contracts Manager to ensure that the requested changes and internal approvals are accurately.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders when necessary.
• Assist sales in endorsing agreements for signature to the internal stakeholders and the customer in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
• Assist with the preparation and communication of contract summaries of new master agreements outlining Canon’s key contractual commitments.
• Manage the novation/assignment of customer contracts.
• Suggest and implement continual process improvements for to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Be seen as a trusted contractual advisor, engaging with all levels of the organization.
• Other administrative tasks such as but not limited to research, maintaining of contract registers and register of precedents of negotiated terms for future contracts use.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Graduate of political science, legal management or legal studies or relevant field, preferred but not essential.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial contractual term and contracts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated prioritization skills to accommodate rapidly changing requirements and ability to meet tight deadlines. This includes ability to handle pressure.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot and think on your feet.
• Be able to quickly establish good rapport with internal and external customers.
• Knowledge in using Salesforce, Nitro and DocuSign is an advantage.
