Essential duties:
Primary
Manage the novation/assignment of customer contracts.
Assist with managing contracts register (Master and MDS Agreements, Business Partners and Agents) to assist Sales teams actively manage upcoming expiries (e.g. extend, expire, renegotiate, add to tender pipeline, etc).
Maintain register of precedents of negotiated terms for future tender and contracts use
Assist with the preparation of contract summaries of new Master and MDS Agreements outlining Canon's key contractual commitments and distribute to relevant stakeholders to action.
Assisting with reporting and analysis (WlP, SFDC dashboard).
Send annual Canon insurance certificate updates to Master and MDS Customers.
Execute systems and procedures including contract sign-off according to Canon delegation of authority policy.
Review, negotiate and amend straightforward contract changes.
Undertake continual improvement for team, CBS and Canon benefit and to improve Customer contract experience.
Respond to queries from internal stakeholders and external customers
Escalate customer issues (especially disputes) and more complicated contract interpretation questions to Contracts Manager as required.
Other administrative duties including filing documents as required
Financial / Commercial
Provide sufficient information in contract summaries and contracts registers for relevant stakeholders to insert Customer-specific information (e.g. prices, payment terms, interest on overdue accounts etc) into Canon systems
Assist CBS Contracts team to manage stakeholder inputs and ensure contracts are closed in line with sales priorities using all available tools (e.g. SFDC, forecast & MDS WIP)
Respond to internal stakeholder and external customers within an appropriate timeframe
Customer
Provide timely and efficient support to minimise customer wait time
Process
Provide timely and efficient support to minimise sales lead time to opportunity closure
Ensure contract registers are up to date and accurate
Follow approval escalation path with accurate and effective information to Management for timely risk assessment
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in Law or other relevant field
Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating contracts
Familiarity with commercial contracts
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Adaptive and effective prioritisation skills to rapidly changing requirements
Proven experience in a time critical analytical role (ability to meet strict deadlines).
Superior comprehension and writing skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot with elements of ambiguity
Good rapport with internal and external customers.
