About the Role

The primary purpose of the Financial Accountant is to provide accounting services support to the Group Finance team including assistance to shared service cost centres and National Import/Export.

The role will be assigned the following responsibilities:

  • Daily processing and reconciliation of group cashbook (bank reconciliation);
  • Allocation of Group recharges (eg. Telstra, Fuji, National expense);
  • General ledger reconciliations for group related accounts including all payroll clearing accounts nationally and export/import ledger accounts;
  • Reconciliation of all intercompany accounts as part of the month end process;
  • Weekly uploading of wages journals and checking against wage reports;
  • Weekly preparation of profit estimate for Export/Import;
  • Process and raise purchase orders for National expense;
  • Preparation of monthly reports that fulfil business unit & Corporate Office requirements;
  • Work extended and varied hours based on operational requirements;
  • Undertake additional duties as required and during periods of leave of other staff.

 

Qualifications  

  • College/Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or equivalent
  • Completed or commenced studying CA/CPA
