IT Operations and Maintenance Support Engineer 

 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor, manage, and diagnose infrastructures alerts (Server and Network Infrastructure) 
  • Provide server health checks reports to the customers 
  • Execute server patching as per schedule 
  • Triage infrastructure related issues presented as Incidents and Service Requests 
  • Update Access Management thru Active Directory, Exchange and File Server 
  • Backup Management (Commvault, Backup Exec, ArcServe and Veeam) 
  • Incident, Problem and Change Management as per HIT/client processes (ITIL Framework) 

Position Requirements: 

  • Experience with Windows Server administration 
  • Previous experience in a NOC/Datacenter technician role a plus 
  • Experience in server/device monitoring tools (SCOM, BMC ProactiveNet, Nagios, etc) 
  • Experience with ITSM System (ServiceNow) 
  • Strong understanding of the following technologies 
    • Microsoft Windows including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP 
    • Network and Windows Security 
    • Good understanding of other technologies, including a mix from the following 
    • Microsoft Exchange and/or other messaging environments 
    • Backup Technologies 
    • Citrix 
    • VMWare 
    • Anti-Virus Technologies 
  • Working knowledge of the ITIL IT Service Management Framework (ITIL certified a plus) 
  • Analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Active participation in a rotating 24/7 operations shift schedule 
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills 
  • IT Technology certifications (e.g. MTA, MCP, MCSA, CCNA, Azure, etc) desirable but not essential
