Role Summary:
Strategically support the business maintainability of the Informatica ecosystem as well as contribute to the organisation’s integration and innovation agenda.
Essential Duties:
- Develop integrations using ETL technologies such as Informatica
- Proactively support and monitor existing integrations
- Develop in depth understanding of current and new business processes to better support those integrations
- Manage the integration support queue and respond to service requests and or service incidents in a timely manner
- Work within the broader IT team to ensure end-to-end delivery of supportable solutions
- Build trust and support for Canon IT within Canon through communication, performance, and reliable integrations
- Analyse large sets of data and determine the best method of integration and data types required
- Develop and maintain efficient SQL scripts to extract data from core systems
- Follow development lifecycle and work with other Canon IT teams to ensure the development lifecycle is adhered to, DEV > UAT > PROD
- Log change requests and represent the changes at the Canon Approval Board (CAB)
- Deploy approved changes to production and analyse performance including data integrity
- Monitor integrations and react appropriately in a timely manner to system warning and errors
- Fault-find data related issues to determine the root cause and if responsible suggest and implement fixes to resolve the issue through the Canon change management process
- Analyse integrations for performance degradation and tune when required
- Manage release updates in a timely manner and coordinate them till enabled in production
- Look for patterns in support requests and try to determine root cause and if possible, suggest and implement fixes
- Respond to Informatica support requests via multiple channels in a timely manner
- Assist in development and delivery to operational stages of project work/ new developments
- Contribute to ongoing improvement processes through user feedback and experience
- Produce and contribute to support documentation and procedures
- Assist with ad-hoc related requests from the Integration Delivery Lead or IT Platform Delivery Manager
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field
- Experience with common enterprise integration patterns
- Experience in supporting, maintaining, and developing enterprise integration solutions
- Excellent SQL skills - writing SQL queries and analysing data in SQL
- Ability to conduct technical troubleshooting with large datasets
Desired:
- At least 1 years’ experience developing business integrations using ETL tools such as Informatica
- Developed and supported Informatica solutions
- Agile mindset and experience working with agile and hybrid Waterfall delivery frameworks
- Salesforce related experience specifically around Objects, Fields and Field Types including methods of integrating with it
