About the Role

The role of the Reporting Analyst will assist the business in implementing dashboards, automating reports, and creating data visualization tools for effective decision-making.

 

Essential Duties

  • Analyses data from company database to drive optimization and improvement of performance and business outcomes.

  • Uses predictive modelling to increase and optimize attainment of metrics, monitor results, and increase efficiency.

  • Develop processes and automated tools to monitor and analyse data to allow early detection of negative outcomes and solutions to course-correct said predicted negative results.

  • Assess effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and reports and work with stakeholders to identify and propose improvement opportunities and drive implementation of solutions.

  • Develop and implement dashboards, automation flows, and creation/maintenance of reports, processes, and templates such as scorecards, metrics, productivity reports, client reports, etc.

  • Creation of reports and visualizations based on specifications provided by the business for the purpose of interpreting historical data, understanding data trends and forecasting results for effective decision-making.

  • Create process flows, user guides / work instructions of automation projects following standard templates and format.

  • Present/conduct demo of developed tools and/or automated reports to stakeholders / process owners.

  • Provide continuous support to stakeholders and process owners, for troubleshooting of automated reports, fixing bugs, and upgrading functionalities.

  • Strong supporting role in all aspects of data management and reporting function and automation.

  • Continuously find new ways and solutions to improve reports and standardized processes promoting efficiency gains and minimizing risks.

  • Performs adhoc reporting and data analysis as requested and may be assigned other duties from time to time.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience.

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Systems / IT / Business Studies

  • Advanced Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL, Server, VBA, and Power Platforms such as Power Query, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.

  • Required Skill: Power BI & Excel Macro/VBA

  • Proven experience in a time critical analytical role (ability to meet strict deadlines), and multi-tasking skills, with high standards or professionalism with what you do.

  • Strong data modelling, design, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent communication skills (assertiveness/confidence).

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.

  • Understanding of data warehousing / multidimensional design.
