About the Role
As part of our team, you will be responsible for controlling and optimizing inventory across our warehouses and operations within the UK. You will also support the supply chain elements of businesses for Canon UK & Ireland DP&S, ITCG, and Canon Europe.
Your problem-solving skills will be essential in handling and resolving queries, including assisting in the clearance of goods to be delivered to appropriate offices, warehouses, and customers.
You will log all import/export insurance claims for damages and shortages. Your database management skills will be crucial in providing reports and archiving within specified timeframes and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical skills are necessary as you will work with a significant amount of data. The work is varied, and you will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Being a team player with excellent time management skills and attention to detail is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure stock on Oracle R12 matches stock in the warehouse management system by performing reconciliation analysis and investigating discrepancies. If discrepancies are caused by a system error, report these to IT. If they are caused by a process error, flag these to the Supply Chain Specialist.
- Coordinate and validate the return of stock to the warehouse with our logistics companies, final mile partners, and order management team to ensure that the warehouse has enough space, and flag potential space risks to the Supply Chain Team Specialist.
- Upload returned stock to be sold as second-hand into our Configure Price Quote (CPQ) sales system.
- Control stock at the end of its life by selling it to a print broker, following the broker sales process, ensuring that all devices are fully invoiced by the end of the month.
- Responsible for managing and logging AFAS claims for shipments from the Nippon warehouse (EDC). This includes logging claims for missing, damaged, or mis-shipped items within 24 hours of receiving the request each day, reporting investigation outcomes back to the requester, and raising insurance claims if required.
- Administer all insurance claims for Canon UK, including obtaining all documentation to submit claim, logging on the broker system, dealing with disputes with our logistics providers and ensuring closure of claim. Ensure SLAs regarding management of claims are met. Create reports as required, to ensure a closed loop and we are tracking through to completion
- Responsible for submitting Tracer investigations for goods delivered to customers via UPS when items go missing or get damaged. If the value of the missing goods exceeds £60 or if the goods are confirmed as damaged, the issue needs to be logged as a claim
- Produce weekly KPIs that show the status of stock and associated elements of the stock processes.
- Escalate problems clearly and quickly to the Supply Chain Specialist for simple issues or process problems, and to the Supply Chain Team Leader in the event of bigger problems.
