Purpose

To effectively promote and implement the wellness, health and safety programs and initiatives of the company as well as ensure compliance to the OHS requirement of the organization.

 

Essential Duties

  • Evaluate working conditions in the organization and determine appropriate health and safety policies and procedures toimplement in the company
  • Manage the clinic operations by planning medical staff workforce, ensuring replenishment of medical supplies and provision of clinic services are done base onthe patient’s need and concern.
  • Lead the WHS team in their tasks and conduct monthly meetings for updates on health and safety issues.
  • Facilitate health teachings through workshop, and trainings to WHS team and employees
  • Vendor Management-Handle coordination, collaboration and negotiation with medical facilities, HMO providers and other related third-party suppliers.
  • Conceptualize, organize, lead and implement all wellness activities in the company●Ensure company adherence to DOLE’s Occupational Health and Safety Standards, compliance to ISO 14001 EMS and other national guidelines
  • Provide basic first aid, evaluating an employee’s health and providing initial diagnosis on medical conditions and dispensing medicine to sick employee as needed
  • Provide supervision to safety officers in doing site audit to avoid unsafe acts by employees and identify hazards that may result to incidents, accidents and near misses
  • Ensure employees adherenceand complianceto Health and Safety Procedure in the company ( e.g 100% PEME and APE compliance)
  • Manage and resolve health and safety escalations and liaise with the respective departments for resolution
  • Represents the people's health and safety in the business continuity management team (BCP Team) in making executive decision in terms of crisis management, disaster response and recovery.
  • Help the P&C Team in all other tasks related to employees’ wellness and health benefits.
  • Lead all, wellness activities, community and sustainability initiatives of the company by liaisingwith NGO, partner orphanage, project inclusion, potential sponsors and other

Qualifications

  • BS Nursing –Licensed Nurse
  • Safety Officer Level 3 (DOLE-accredited Health and Safety Practitioner)
  • At least Three (3) years experience as nurse in an occupational setting
  • Knowledge and exposure to a range of health and safety issues and matters handling multiple site location
  • BOSH Training under OHNAP required
  • Basic Life Support and First Aid Training preferred but not required▪Pollution Control Officer preferred but not required
