About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise & Government Account Manager to join our high‑performing team. This senior sales role is integral to Canon’s success at an enterprise level. You’ll operate across a defined list of named accounts—working with some existing customers while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities.
To succeed, you’ll bring a passion for leading complex sales engagements and a deep understanding of Canon’s wide range of business solutions. Your focus will be to retain and grow services within existing accounts while expanding our footprint across the enterprise and government sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Meet revenue and profit targets while maintaining strong product and solutions knowledge.
- Proactively prospect, including cold calling, to build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Identify and engage key decision‑makers across target organisations.
- Build and strengthen relationships with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and technology usage.
- Drive organic growth within existing accounts and share relevant market insights.
- Develop tailored proposals, respond to tenders/RFPs, and manage objections to close opportunities.
- Coordinate and deliver high‑quality sales demonstrations to prospective customers.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, reports, and support administrative tasks with the Sales Associate.
About You | Mōu
You’re a motivated, resilient and commercially savvy sales professional who thrives on building trusted partnerships and leading complex sales opportunities. You’re confident working with senior executives, skilled at navigating long sales cycles, and driven to deliver high-value outcomes for customers.
What you’ll bring:
- A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in selling into NZ Government and large Enterprise accounts, ideally, within technology or solution-based environments.
- You will leverage your well-established network of C‑suite and senior executive relationships within the Wellington market to drive new opportunities.
- Strong understanding of the sales process, from prospecting through to close.
- Confidence in engaging and presenting to senior-level executives.
- Experience managing and negotiating complex sales opportunities.
- Solid financial acumen and ability to construct commercially sound deals.
- Comfort working with long lead times and enjoy winning new business.
- Ability to think creatively and deliver integrated, tailored solutions.
- High self-motivation, drive, and resilience.
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
