When you join Canon Australia, you’ll experience a supportive culture that values your contribution and empowers you to grow. We’re committed to helping you develop your career and turn your goals into reality, while playing an integral role in our success across the region.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Integrated Production Lead to join Canon's Brand and Creative team, reporting to the Manager, Brand and Creative. This is a hands-on role combining creative operations, traffic management and integrated production, ideal for an organised, solutions-focused producer who enjoys managing diverse projects and finding better ways to get work done.

You’ll be responsible for keeping Canon’s creative and production work moving, ensuring briefs are effectively scoped, prioritised, resourced, produced and delivered. Working across a busy portfolio of requests, you'll manage priorities, coordinate internal and external resources, and bring clarity and structure to the production process.

Working closely with the Creative Lead and marketing stakeholders, you’ll translate creative ideas and business requirements into practical production plans. Depending on the project, this may mean coordinating work through internal resources, producing directly, commissioning specialist suppliers or managing external production partners.

From high-volume everyday creative requests and print production through to content shoots, livestreams, events and major campaigns, you’ll bring production expertise, commercial judgement and organisation skills needed to deliver high-quality work efficiently.

You’ll also help improve how production operates across the business, strengthening briefing, scheduling, resource planning and approval processes to create more consistent, effective ways of working.

Scope of the role includes:

  • Lead end-to-end production across integrated campaigns, video, photography, digital, print, retail, content and events, adapting the level of involvement to each brief, from light-touch coordination through to hands-on production and management of external partners.
  • Review and challenge creative briefs to ensure objectives, deliverables, timelines and budgets are clear, working with the Brand & Creative Manager to determine the appropriate production approach and resources.
  • Manage the flow of creative and production requests, coordinating priorities, schedules, resources and approvals across multiple concurrent projects, while proactively identifying capacity constraints and delivery risks.
  • Produce projects directly where appropriate, while briefing, commissioning and managing external agencies, freelancers and specialist production partners.
  • Oversee production logistics, including crew, talent, locations, equipment, schedules, post-production and final asset delivery.
  • Manage production budgets, estimates, supplier negotiations, purchase orders and reconciliation, ensuring commercial accountability and value.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, proactively managing expectations, resolving challenges and keeping projects on track.
  • Partner with the Brand & Creative Manager and Creative Lead to facilitate creative reviews and approvals, supporting creative quality, brand consistency and effective delivery across channels.
  • Optimise production workflows, briefing processes, resource planning and project management systems, while supporting digital asset management (DAM) governance to improve efficiency, visibility and consistency.
  • Ensure production requirements, including approvals, usage rights, licensing and relevant compliance, are appropriately managed.

About you

You're an experienced, hands-on integrated production professional who enjoys keeping projects moving from brief through to delivery. Highly organised, commercially minded and solutions-focused, you're comfortable working across a diverse range of production formats and scales. You bring sound judgement, strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach to your work.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Significant experience in integrated production across multiple formats and channels, ideally within an agency, production company or in-house environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume creative workflows, competing briefs and resource allocation, alongside end-to-end production delivery.
  • Strong production knowledge across video, photography, print and digital, with experience in events, experiential production or livestreaming highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from initial briefing and scoping through production, post-production and final delivery.
  • Strong commercial capability, including estimates, production budgets, supplier negotiation, procurement and cost management.
  • Experience commissioning and managing external creative and production partners, with sound judgement in selecting the right resources for different projects.
  • Confidence using project management and workflow tools, and an interest in improving production systems and processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing demands, anticipate challenges, solve problems and consistently follow through.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge incomplete briefs, manage expectations and remain calm under pressure.
  • A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach, equally comfortable coordinating everyday production requests and delivering complex projects, with a genuine interest in creativity and making great work happen.
